Participation

In the Dutch language the name “De Gaarde” is related to Earth ( Aarde). In De Gaarde all we do is as much as possible an expression of our care and concern for the wellbeing of the Earth community. It is therefore that participation and work in De Gaarde has proven to be wholesome and healing for many. For some it is the expression of their life vocation now.

A circle, a small community of like-minded people support the day to day functioning of De Gaarde. We do not live under one roof, but work together in this place and support each other as much as we can.

It is our vision and conviction that each person has something very precious to offer for the wellbeing of the Earth community.
Also when people contact De Gaarde in a situation of burn out, life crisis etc. We consider each contribution to be unique and equal in value.

So we welcome volunteers / participants to work together with us and to help to shape De Gaarde and develop it according to one’s possibilities and within the set goals of the De Gaarde Foundation.

After the founding years we now wait for and welcome those who feel called and challenged to support the continuation and development of De Gaarde in the years to come.

Those who feel called and challenged in this way have to be willing to get to know the spiritual ecological vision of De Gaarde Foundation and to grow in ecological spirituality and lifestyle. It will take an in-depth preparation.

As we are no conference centre, it is not possible to do your own activities here in using this place. The place is too small for that.

Who are the participants of De Gaarde?

• The Governing Board, consisting of 5 persons. They take care of all the matters concerning the continuation of De Gaarde.
• De Gaarde daily management team:

• Resonansgroup: a committee for planning, implementation and evaluation of activities
• Those who offer their service in daily work of De Gaarde, our volunteers and participants

Financial Support and Funding

De Gaarde is made possible through the generous financial support of Medical Mission Sisters and the Foundation “Vrienden ( Friends) of MMS
But the MMS Society with the help of their Friends has to support and sponsor many health projects all over the world. So we here, in The Netherlands have to look into new possibilities for funding. The poor and the many victims of disasters and the impoverished Earth oblige us.

We count on new financial resources and the support of the widening circle of friends of De Gaarde, so that De Gaarde can continue. Every gift or help is welcome. Every gift is tax deductible. Also in this way you can participate and contribute to De Gaarde.
